An unhailed Internet Hero, PTO not only discovered Netmonsters, but also wrote the first interface code and Netmonster grabber. Seeing both the potential and the danger of these creatures, the General introduced them to the first generation of Internet Civilians and started outreach programs to understand them better.

When Shade broke free, he spearheaded the Resistance movement. As commander of the NetMonster Resistance Corps, he organized the Hunters and was responsible for personally funding the movement. He fought bravely with the NMRC through the Y2K Bug crisis and other key battles for the Net.

As the war against Shade dragged on, the General's resources began to dwindle. He disappeared shortly after announcing the discovery of two previously unrecognized Netmonster species, as well as several breakthroughs in understanding how Netmonsters interact with the Net. Since the loss of Fort Whitemask, his whereabouts are unknown. The NMRC anxiously awaits his return, but continues the fight in his memory. We can only hope that whereever the General is, he is well and safe from the minions of Shade and other nefarious net entities who would use his knowledge and gifts for evil.
